It’s the Rainy season once again, the season where most days, you lock yourself indoors coz for whatever reason there is, the rain is affecting you to do something that drains your budget. Speaking of budget, when you live alone, independently, trying to prove something, looking at your left overs really pains (for some), after at all, it’s your hard earned money.
This morning, I just cant help but feel so guilty with all the left overs in my fridge, So here, I decided to utilize it, work it out, making a justifiable breakfast out of this leftovers.
Meet my Lee Kum Kee Arsenal
I do good with the chopping but never as the cook, the Kitchen was out of my specialty every since when I was young, so I decided to invest more on the spices since it’s where Im more comfortable with, the add ons, hahaha, so here, I use Lee Kum Kee “Hoisin Sauce” and for the Sandwich, and “Chili Garlic Sauce” for the Flavored Rice, I also use Lee Kum Kee Sesame Oil for added flavor.
From Left Overs To Inspiratioal
Recently we had a little food tripping with my friends and the chef from 121 Grill showed us a little secret. I felt so motivated that with a simple Hoisin Sauce can actually create a unique tasting dish, in my mind, I still need to do all those Chinese chef stunts just to make one like this but hey! Lee Kum Kee got our backs in this case!
Take out your Leftover Chicken and pull them into shreds, Warm Up Your Pan, poured in Lee Kum Kee Sesame Oil and Hoisin Sauce, Drop your leftover Shredded Chicken, just mix it in flow heat until the sauce has completely cover all the chicken. Place it on a plate or top it directly to your buns and set your favorite Vegies in it just to add more texture and flavor.
That Thing Called JOYEUX
Recently I’ve been relying too much over fast food deliveries, Last night I got curious and tried to satisfy my cravings at the same time save my budget by doing a DIY versions of my recent cravings, unfortunately I’m drained enough to move, and boom! I woke up without even changing hahaha #BuhayIndependent baby! alam niyo yan!
So this Morning, I tried to maximize “what can I do with a Chili Garlic Sauce Aside from using it as a Dip?” then there’s this certain Rice toppings we love during my college days, it’s called “Chili Cheese Rice” Chili rice topped with tons of cheese and ground beef.
Unfortunately this is all I’ve got, Olives and Greenbell Pepper.
So I started with a teas spoon of Sesame Oil, a Dash of Salt and Black Pepper, saute, mix, then place all the left over rice in the pan. Add on 1 Teas Spoon of Chili Garlic Sauce and cubed cheese, mix mix mix then add on minced Greenbell Pepper and Black Olives, viola! got your self a Chilli Cheesy Rice 😀
Life Hack: Use Fork to Grate Cheese if you dont have a Cheese Grater 😀
In Italian cooking, a particular dish has to have that “JOYEUX” essence in it. Something that brings back you to a memory. haha this blog happen to be on of those impulsive mornings I have when Im trying to calm my self after a rigid week. ahhaha I hope I gave justice to whatever I posted this very instant.
