I’ve been thinking of having one since last year yet I just cant decide which bad habit to let go. And letting go of something we are used to takes a matter of reprogramming. What’s keeping me to pursue this project is that, I’ve proven this so many times before that stepping out of our comfort zone is and will always be something liberating and trust me its rejuvenating. Today, something dawned on me: “Why do I have to let go of my habits where in fact introducing something really good doesn’t require eliminating something” they just die on their own until the new you has emerged.
“The Last Quarter Syndrome”, Where everyone is fighting their way to reach desired quota or pitching for a better project for the next year. Most of the time we feel tired of the things we thought we’ll be doing for the next 10 years; only to find out that we are just uninspired and unmotivated . Recently Im having a series of stress induced hyper acidity which reminds me that keeping your mental health is one of the most exciting part of adult life. Fun part, China cant manufacture what you need in this scenario; but you can have your happy pills for free through constant interaction from family and friends. One night while I was organizing my files, it made me look back to the things I do to get away from stress. Take note! this is a very important routine especially if you live alone in the metro.
Before I start posting other blogs, I would like to dedicate this blog for my lola, the late Narcisa Cadile Parcon. It was a game changer when she commended my very first DIY Pasta, it was a Fusili topped with corned tuna and a handful Cheese Melt, a survival dish I came up with once upon a time when my paycheck got delayed. When I was younger, I never imagined my self cooking since I feel like the kitchen hates me with all the bruises, burns, cuts and everything I acquire every time there is an attempt to cook. Until when I moved in the metro, all alone, adult life taught me a lot!
From my a really active College lifestyle years ago to a sedentary “Office, Gamer, Binge Watcher” lifestyle made me feel excited to participate with Uniqlo’s Goal to demonstrate the latest Uniqlo Sports Active Wear collection. Aside from it’s affordability, Uniqlo Philippines always make it sure that the essence of “Lifewear” is present in all of it’s product and that’s one of the things I explore as we try it’s latest sports wear to the test; from Crossfit at Primal Ape to Cycling at Saddle Row and then to Running during the Nike Run session. This includes a vlog I’ll include at the bottom of this article.
Living the Metro Lifestyle sometimes makes it hard to commit to a “Specific Gym”, or maybe your Career forces you to be “Nomadic” enough that makes you reluctant to subscribe for a Gym Membership. Actually theses are some of my reasons hahaha, that’s why I’d rather go out for a swim when Im out of town, yet there are mornings that our body would send impulses like “Hey Duane, I want to sweat through Yoga!” or “Remember how much we feel good after that Spa Session?” As we grow up, these things tend to be more necessary, and giving your self more excuses will just make you feel guilty after wards. Good thing there’s this new Mobile App call KFit which we tried the other week.

To combat the dumping of e-waste and promote stronger social and environmental practices, leading telecommunications company Globe Telecom is embarking on the biggest and most ambitious Mobile Recycling Program in the Philippines. Dubbed as Project 1 Phone, it is designed to create awareness on proper e-waste disposal and to promote sustainability. By Donating Unused, Non-working, or Damaged Phones and Tablets, Mobile Phone Batteries, and even Personal Computers to the campaign, each Filipino would be able to do his share in minimizing not only the environmental impact of E-waste but also counter its harmful effects on health such as skin diseases and possible damage to vital organs and the skeletal system.
Few Weeks ago I suffered a series of Gastronomic Issues, an incident that lead me to read about “Raw Food Diet”. And is actually the reason why I decided to drop by this catchy newly opened Vegan Salad Bar a.k.a “Sprout” before heading to church. Usually I spend 150php in fast foods before I get a little satisfied. In comparison with Sprout, astoundingly, the pricing is really cheap and one serving of salad(150php) is actually good for 2-3pax, all natural, and fresh. How could I say no?
