Globe Telecom and Philippine Eagle Foundation has proven that synergy with the private sector and Groups such as PEF can be attained. During the Philippine’s Independence Day, a Marvelous National Symbol named Pamana, was released into it’s Natural Habitat in Mt. Hamiguitan in Davao Oriental. Globe Business continues to manifest its commitment to the sustainability and conservation of our Bio Diversity with its partnership with PEF. According to PEF, the Philippine Eagle (Pithecophaga Jefferyi) is listed in the international Union for Conservation of Nature as a “Critically Endangered” or experiencing extreme Fluctuating Population and the possibility of future generations not seeing them in the wild. With an estimate of 1,000 individual eagles remaining for they are hunted for poaching and for individual pleasure. During the Media Launch, I though Pamana grew up with PEF but sad to say she was rehabilitated for having wounds caused by an attempt poaching.
